NHL Playoff Headlines (Conference Finals)

The NHL Playoffs are getting closer to the finish! Safe to say that these playoffs have not disappointed, so many competetive series. Both the Western and Eastern Conference Finals are tied 2 games a piece headed into a pivotal Game 5. Who can prevail and advance to the Stanley Cup?

NHL Conference Finals

Can Connor McDavid advance to his first Stanley Cup?

After a rough start to Game 4, allowing 2 goals within the first few minutes of the game, the Oilers bounced back with 5 unanswered goals to win. With the series tied at 2-2 headed to Dallas, the Oilers have a real chance to steal one on the road then close it out at home. The Stars couldn't have come out more flat in the second and third period, leading to a huge momentum swing. Chris Tanav deflected a shot off of his leg which sidelined him for the remainder of the game and potentially the next. Tanav has 68 blocked shots this postseason, which leads the NHL. Look for McDavid and the Oilers to close this series out in 6.

Will the Panthers convert some shots on goal?

What a series the Eastern Conference Finals have been. Three straight games have gone into Overtime. In the last two games the Panthers have shot 77 times on goal while the Rangers have only shot 46 on net. The Rangers could consider themselves lucky that the series is tied. It would've been a tough pill for Florida to swallow if they lost three straight in OT. Such a hard series to predict. Tickets for tonight's Game 5 in New York are going for as much as $4,000 along the boards.
