Post-Week 6 NFL Takeaway’s
· The Arizona Cardinals are the best team in the league.
The Cardinals are the only undefeated team in the NFL. They have an impressive victory over the LA Rams (5-1), and destroyed the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans. Kyler Murray is the front-runner to win MVP so far this year, the defense has been consistent week in and week out, plus the offense is rolling. Huge matchup against the Packers on TNF in 2 weeks.
· The Cleveland Browns will miss the playoffs.
The Browns have been a major disappointment so far in 2021 after having their best season ever last year. The Browns have improved a lot since drafting Baker Mayfield in 2018 and were expected to take the next step this year. The Browns have lost back-to-back games where the defense did not perform and injuries have only added to insult. Odell Beckham is still not himself, Baker Mayfield has a partially torn labrum in his shoulder, Nick Chubb missed yesterday’s game, two starting O-Lineman are hurt, Jarvis Landry is out, and now Kareem Hunt has been placed on IR.
· Kansas City will be fine.
The Chiefs started out shaky versus the Washington Football Team, trailing 13-10 after the first half. The second half was a different story. The Chiefs looked like a different football team, starting the second half with 3 straight TD drives while holding the Washington offense to just 3 pojnts. Mahomes threw for 400 yards and 2 TD’s and Darrell Williams rushed for 2 TD’s.
· The Cincinnati Bengals offense is very fun to watch.
This Bengals offense is going to be among the best in the league in the next few years. Joe Burrow is as legit as they come, Ja’Marr Chase is looking more and more like the correct pick at #5 in last year’s draft, add in Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, and Joe Mixon. Man, that offense has a ton of potential and they are just getting started.
