NFL Week 17 Recap

Week 17 in the NFL delivered plenty of drama, but not all victories were cause for celebration. The Raiders, Jaguars, and Giants each notched wins that came at a cost, sliding them further down the Draft order and sparking debates about long-term priorities. Meanwhile, the Packers stumbled once again against a winning team, fueling questions about their legitimacy as contenders. The Chiefs once again looked unstoppable in their 29-10 Christmas Day rout of the Steelers, reminding everyone why they're perennial Super Bowl threats.

Raiders, Giants, and Jaguars did themselves NO Favors!

The Giants, Raiders, and Jaguars each hurt their draft prospects with wins this past weekend, significantly altering the landscape of the 2025 NFL Draft order. The Giants’ victory was particularly costly, dropping them from the coveted #1 pick to the #4 spot—a major shift that could reshape their rebuilding plans. The Raiders’ win pushed them down to the 8th pick, while the Jaguars slid to the 5th pick after their triumph. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots are now in prime position to claim the top selection with a loss this weekend. If that happens, it would mark the Patriots' first #1 overall pick since 1993, when they selected quarterback Drew Bledsoe, a move that set the stage for a new era in franchise history.

Are the Packers frauds?

The Green Bay Packers have been a perplexing team this season, thriving against weaker opponents while consistently falling short against the NFC's elite. Despite a strong overall record, their inability to defeat teams over .500 has raised concerns about their legitimacy as contenders. Losses to the Eagles, Lions (twice), and Vikings (twice) have exposed their struggles against top-tier competition, as they've been outmatched in key moments. However, the Packers have dominated lesser opponents, racking up wins against teams with losing records and making a case for their playoff potential. To truly establish themselves as NFC powerhouses, they’ll need to prove they can step up when facing the league's best.

Will anyone beat Kansas City?

The Kansas City Chiefs are hitting their stride at the perfect moment, getting key players back from injury and regaining their dominant form just as the playoffs approach. With a three-week break before their first postseason game—thanks to securing the AFC’s top seed—they're well-rested and poised to make a run at their third straight Super Bowl title. As impressive as their success is, it’s hard not to feel exhausted by their relentless dominance. The Chiefs have become the NFL’s version of a broken record, fans across the league are collectively over seeing Patrick Mahomes and company hoist the Lombardi Trophy year after year. The question now isn’t whether they can win it all again but whether anyone can stop them. For the love of god, someone beat them.
