NFL Week 12 Recap

In Week 12, Saquon Barkley stole the spotlight with a career day, reminding everyone why he’s one of the league’s most electrifying players. Barkley finished with 255 rushing yards with 2 TD's.

Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers, once seen as NFC favorites, are crumbling as injuries and inconsistent play continue to derail their season. Are the Carolina Panthers starting to figure things out? The Panthers are staying scrappy, playing in tightly contested games despite their struggles in the win column. Bryce Young has looked much, much better over the past few weeks. Are things finally looking up for the Panthers?

Saquon's Career Day extends Eagles' win streak

Saquon Barkley delivered a performance for the ages, carrying the ball 26 times for a staggering 255 yards and 2 touchdowns, including two electrifying runs of over 70 yards each. Behind a rock-solid offensive line that dominated at the line of scrimmage, Barkley looked unstoppable. However, the Eagles might boast the NFL’s best defense under Vic Fangio. Philly's unit has been stifling, shutting down top offenses and showcasing championship-caliber toughness. With their dominant defense and balanced team play, are the Eagles emerging as the new Super Bowl favorites?

Can the 49ers save their season?

The San Francisco 49ers are unraveling, and their struggles were on full display this week. George Kittle caught the first pass of the game but inexplicably wasn’t targeted again, while Christian McCaffrey continues to look far from his usual explosive self. The offensive line, once a dominant force, has regressed significantly, leaving the offense in disarray. To make matters worse, injuries are piling up on both sides of the ball, further compounding their woes. As the losses mount, questions about Kyle Shanahan’s future in San Francisco are growing louder. Are the Super Bowl defeats and repeated NFC Championship heartbreaks becoming an insurmountable mental hurdle for this team? The pressure is rising in the Bay Area.

Are the Carolina Panthers...good?

What has sparked the resurgence of the Carolina Panthers? Perhaps it was their humbling 40-7 loss to Washington in Week 7. Since that defeat, the Panthers have turned a corner, keeping every game competitive, regardless of the outcome. They achieved a rare milestone with back-to-back wins over the Saints and Giants, marking a positive shift for the team. Over the past two weeks, Carolina narrowly lost to Kansas City and Tampa Bay by a combined six points, showcasing their newfound resilience. Rookie quarterback Bryce Young, the former Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 overall pick, has shown significant growth, throwing for nearly 300 yards in each of those games with zero turnovers. Young’s increasing confidence is a promising sign for a franchise that appears to be finding its footing. Ever since losing the Super Bowl 9 years ago, the Panthers organization has been nothing short of a failure.
